What is Up Lighting?

Simply put, up lighting is a lighting fixture that is placed on the ground and shines towards the ceiling.

This effect can be achieved with a wide variety of lighting fixtures.  Each fixture is an up light, but they are not all the same.  Differences involve the light source (LED or Bulb), spread of the light (wash or beam), how bright (lumens) and how does the color mix.  Other differences are how the fixture gets it's power (plug or battery) and if the light is a plug and play or contolled (DMX or Wireless). Below describes the majority of fixtures that are commonly used.

Wide Beam LED Battery Powered, Wireless Lighting Fixture

This fixture offers many of the best features in an uplight.  The tri-colored LED is 3 LEDs in one, allowing the light to be properly mixed from source.  The battery powered feature is exceptional because there wouldn't be a need for power cables to be ran and taped throughout the venue.  The same goes for the wireless option.  In order to change the color on this smart fixture, the lighting specialists only needs to press a button on a remote control.  Last, these fixtures that Tampa Up Lighting uses offers a massive 120 degree spread of light.  That means that light will spread out to almost horizontal and flow up the wall.  Our 120º beam angle is a true wall wash.

Narrow Beam LED Battery Powered, Wireless DMX Lighting Fixture

This lighting option offers a narrow beam to highlight between window spaces, columns and more.  This fixture is perfect when there is more ambient light.  These lights offer a Quad LED diode - offering more colors than other fixtures!
